Discord Activities as a space for interactive experiences

Games, social sessions, and web applications running inside a community context.

Navigate this article

Discord Activities extend a server beyond text and voice. They allow a web experience to open inside a channel and be shared by the people present.

Project intent

My work in this area explores social games, progression, entertainment, bots, and community tools without requiring participants to install a separate application.

Development of interactive experiences designed to engage Discord communities and servers through natively integrated games. The proposal features the Discord Activity SDK to run web games directly inside the chat UI (without downloads), paired with custom bots for smart moderation, community management, entertainment, and sales automation.

GAMES & FEATURES

These are the main elements organized in this workstream.

  • Chibi Legends: Anime-themed RPG experience directly inside Discord
  • Pets&Play: Simulation and interactive pets experience for servers
  • Native integration into Discord Activity Tabs (HTML5 / Phaser / SDK)
  • Instant access with zero download requirements ("100% free, directly in Discord")
  • Advanced bots for moderation, logs, verification, and support
  • Sales automation modules and digital product checkout bots
  • Integrated progress, XP, rewards, levels, and leaderboards

TARGET AUDIENCE

Discord server owners, creators, game developers, brands looking to engage their users, and servers focused on digital product sales.

How this experience can be applied

Brands, creators, and communities can use Activities for events, games, training, and collaborative experiences. Design should account for authentication, permissions, moderation, and embedded environment performance.

What to evaluate before applying a similar solution

These criteria help turn the project reference into a decision that fits the company or community context.

  • Which social experience improves by running inside Discord.
  • How authentication, scopes, and instances will be validated through the SDK.
  • Which state needs synchronization across participants.
  • How the experience adapts to an iframe, mobile devices, and different connections.
  • Which moderation, privacy, and safety rules the community requires.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TECH

Node.js, Websockets, Phaser.js, Discord Developer Portal, Discord Activity SDK, Shard Cloud VPS for bots and web app hosting.
